About the guide

Update: Well, I tried to keep up with writing a guide for useful Japanese games, but I found more and more that there was other ideas I wanted to put into this blog. So no longer is it the Japanese Game Corner, but the Japanese Corner.

I'll still have my guides on which games are good for learning Japanese, but I'll have even more stuff in order to aid your language learning.

Maybe I'll change this page in order to reflect the website, but for now, I'll preserve it as is.

では、行くぞ!

Hello everyone, my name's Tony. Adamant language learner, gaming enthusiast, amongst other things as well. I'm here to help you play video games that may or may not be helpful in your ever growing  Japanese studies, immersion, etc...

Games are fun, and if you're like me, you play them way too much. From casual amounts of time, to being only able to count the hours not playing them, video games are a fantastic way to learn a different language. Especially if you've already played them before!

For things like dubbed movies, it's easier to understand since you're aware of the context and plot, right? Video games are no different. Sure, there's gonna be more text involved, that's a given...But this can only serve to benefit you, and maybe help shave a couple minutes (or longer!) off textbook studies.

So, what I'm basically getting at is, the point of this blog is to be a guide, as to which games either:

- Have Japanese as a language option in game
- Must require a Japanese version to play in Japanese
- The game has a Japanese version, but it's exactly the same as the English one

I'll also be rating the games on the terms of usefulness in regards to learning Japanese. But don't get me wrong! Any Japanese is better than no Japanese, but money is better spent on content with more Japanese, than with less.

So that's that. I hope you all find this "guide" useful and make Japanese fun again!
